Each of our Pipe Majors (P/M) and Band Mentors has helped us to grow and develop

P/M Ed Sowers Ed Sowers, P/M, started us from scratch.  His engineering and musical experience helped us to organize and enabled us to perform as a group.

P/M Heidi Tylwalk P/M John Grumbine

After Ed was sidelined with illness, in rapid order Jim Scott, Heidi Tylwalk and John Grumbine stepped in as P/M.

Kevin M. Brown and the John F. Nicholl band of Towson, MD

Kevin M. Brown, of Harrisburg, taught a number of our pipers, mentored the band, wrote the Band's signature tune "By the Banks of the Quittapahilla" and performed with us occasionally.  Kevin was a major influence in the development of our band.  Kevin is now P/M of the John F. Nicoll Pipe Band of Towson, Md.

P/M Tom Thomson

Tom Thomson, with his outstanding piping and military bearing from his experience in the Black Watch in Scotland, contributed most to our present musical and marching style and military appearance.

Steve Hollinger, our P/M, with his US Marine Corps  Band experience is  very successfully continuing the band's long-term improvement and growth.

Our Drum-Line Mentor Andy White

We have had outstanding help from Andy White, instructor, judge and performer, in the development of our drum line.  He has come to Annville several times for weekend seminars with our drummers.
